Learn to make baklava, the icon of Turkish dessert culture, from a master pastry chef. With Elif Hanım's 25 years of experience, you'll discover the technique of rolling 40 layers, pistachio filling, and the secrets of syrup perfection. You'll prepare two different types: classic pistachio baklava and walnut burma. Each participant makes their own baklava and puts it in the oven. While baking, you'll hear stories from Turkish dessert history and learn about the Ottoman palace confectioner tradition. At the end, you'll take home your baklava in special boxes, accompanied by plenty of Turkish tea and coffee.
