Eminönü Spice Bazaar & Food Tour

Starting from the Spice Bazaar and extending into the narrow streets of Eminönü, this tour is a journey through Istanbul's gastronomic history. You'll breathe in aromas of saffron, sumac, and red pepper flakes in 500-year-old spice shops and hear the stories behind the spices. The highlight is a traditional Istanbul-style pide and lahmacun tasting at a restaurant run by the same family since 1864. Then, we'll enjoy fresh fish sandwiches at Eminönü's iconic floating fish boats. Our final stop is a hidden tea garden where we'll have Turkish tea and lokum with Bosphorus views. Our guide Hasan is a gastronomy writer who has researched Istanbul's food culture for 20 years. This tour covers not just food, but also Ottoman-era trade culture, spice routes, and the culinary evolution of Istanbul.
