Experience Shinrin-Yoku, the Japanese practice of forest bathing that has spread around the world, in Istanbul’s largest forest. This is not a hike — it’s a mindful encounter with the forest. Guided by Derya Hoca, we move slowly through the forest for 3 hours. You touch the trees, smell the earth, listen to the rustling of the leaves. Scientific studies show that forest bathing reduces cortisol levels by 16% and increases NK cells (immunity) by 50%. During the tour, you will do 4 different sensory awareness exercises. In the middle of the forest, we will hold a tea ceremony — a Japanese tea ritual in the quiet of nature. At the end of the experience, there will be a sharing circle and a guide for integrating the practice into daily life.
