Street Photography Masterclass: The Streets of Istanbul

Photography masterclass in the streets of Istanbul with National Geographic photographer Onur Şen. You will learn the fundamentals of street photography through Henri Cartier-Bresson's philosophy of the 'decisive moment.' Starting from the chaotic fish market in Eminönü, you'll capture the raw and authentic faces of Istanbul, from the dim corridors of the Grand Bazaar to the pigeons in Beyazıt Square and the neglected back streets of Süleymaniye. Mr. Onur will explain the rules of composition, the opportunities you can recognize on the street, the contrast of light and shadow, and the ethics of obtaining consent in human photography. At the end of the tour, the photos taken by each participant will be evaluated together — with constructive criticism and suggestions for improvement.
