Explore Istanbul Modern, Turkey’s first modern art museum, with a guided tour led by an art historian. Moved in 2023 to its new building designed by Renzo Piano, the museum enjoys a stunning location on the shores of the Bosphorus. The collection features some of the most important names in 20th-century Turkish art, including Fahrelnissa Zeid, Burhan Doğançay, Ömer Uluç, and more. You’ll learn the story behind each work, the artist’s life, and the political atmosphere of the era. The tour also includes the temporary exhibition space, with content that changes depending on the exhibition on view. Mine Hoca presents contemporary art in a clear and engaging way. At the end of the tour, enjoy coffee at the museum café with a view of the Bosphorus.
